Pedal to the Metal baby!

I still have a learner's license but my Dad let my drive the car on the freeway yesterday! And I touched a 100 kms/hour! Thats so fast that if you stick your head out of the window and hang your tongue out, it'll dry to crisp within seconds!! Was an exhilarating experience...I can't wait until I get my permanent license! There was obviously a lot of backseat driving, but it was obviously with the right interests at heart. Still, opening the doors at the end of my drive and proclaiming to the world that 'you were alive!' didn't really boost my self confidence. Your lack of confidence in me is appalling!

Thanks Dad...it was fun!

By the end of the drive, Macdonald's beckoned me, like a star in the sky. =)

  1. The shaky nature of the photo of McDonalds (if it is indeed a photo of McDonalds - can't make that out) is an indication of what? your shaky hands after the 100 kmph adrenalin rush, or is it expressive of the state of nerves of your passengers? Signed .. Dad (where's my Valium?)

  2. And what was that? 'Wait until I get my permanent licence'? Buy your own car, baby! Burn your own rubber! Wear out your own clutchplate! Pit your own cylinders! Repair your own dents!

  3. I could tell you want the giant yellow M in the sky meant even if you woke me up the middle of the night and asked me. And Macdonalds is my happy place. I could live there.
And the wait until i get my permanent licence was just to prove to you that i'm not the classic, textbook 'woman driver'!
