Globalization
Something I saw yesterday. CLASSIC! It was stitched onto the collar of a rickshaw driver. Obvious as it is, patriotism here is for the wrong country. Chuckle.

Grease Monkey
My Dad says that before you learn how to drive a car, you have to learn how to change a tyre.
So i can now officially change a tyre on my own! Feel like Wonderwoman.

New Development
I had some visitors outside my bedroom window this week. I'm deathly afraid of anything that flies or scuttles, actually anything that can be classifies as a 'creepy crawly' so I'm going to try and get this thing off. More details about the screaming and yelling soon!

Hello, how may I help you? -NOT!
So, this is probably the 1000000th post about the futility of call centres, but here's the 1000001th one. CALL CENTRES are POINTLESS. Vodafone call centres to be exact. What part of 'we will get back to you in 72 hours' do they not understand? Perhaps they have been having technical difficulties for over a month now. Or they could be having issues with their mass messaging. Or they could be just plain LAZY. The third one being more probable. They tried to talk me out of changing my phone package and I took the one they offered because it actually made more sense. And they didn't do what they said they would. So I hauled myself and all the documentation required to the store to change my plan. I am proud to say I DID NOT LEAVE until i got what I wanted. Definitely passed assertiveness, I was aggressive as hell and got my point across. Needless to say, I now have free text messaging for a month!

Pedal to the Metal baby!
I still have a learner's license but my Dad let my drive the car on the freeway yesterday! And I touched a 100 kms/hour! Thats so fast that if you stick your head out of the window and hang your tongue out, it'll dry to crisp within seconds!! Was an exhilarating experience...I can't wait until I get my permanent license! There was obviously a lot of backseat driving, but it was obviously with the right interests at heart. Still, opening the doors at the end of my drive and proclaiming to the world that 'you were alive!' didn't really boost my self confidence. Your lack of confidence in me is appalling!
Thanks Dad...it was fun!

The Final Verdict
So, just wondering, if God is one, why on earth would anyone want to destroy a place of worship?? Even if it’s not YOUR place of worship. And all the human life that was destroyed in the demolition of that one concrete structure is definitely not worth it. Certain politicians are harping on about how they want the people to maintain peace in the country. Just in case you haven’t already noticed, the people of this country are not violent in nature, they are just instigated to go in that directions because of misinterpretation and often misrepresentation. Our beloved PM on the other hand says that he believes in the unity of the country. Thank you for your confidence!

Just 18
Although I never actually met him, I’ve heard stories about his determination and zeal to win. This boy didn’t play a sport nor was he a merit scholar. He was just eighteen and fighting against God, if you will, to keep on living. Crippled with cancer of the lymph nodes, he was bedridden for a majority of the last two years. He was bright, I was told. He wanted to become a computer engineer. He had already started the course through distance learning. But fate was cruel. It is incidents like these that are the reason I don’t believe in God. I don’t see anything that this boy could have possibly done to deserve this.
I will never know the pain that he went through, the pain that his parents experienced just seeing their child everyday. He knew that his end was near and he accepted it with courage. I don’t know anyone who could have still continued to want to live after knowing something like that. But he did. He passed away peacefully this evening while in a coma.
But I just know that wherever is he is, he’s happy. In a place free of pain and suffering…a place he can start afresh.
RIP Siddharth. You will always be my idol.

Clearing Writer's Block
This is my first blog post! I was actually suffering from a writer’s block =) for a while until I could decide what to post. I’ve wanted to write a blog for a long time, but wasn’t sure how to do it. People say that blogs are like a diary (do I hide it under my bed, lock it with a key? Tell it all my secrets? It just seems like a wonderful place to share my thoughts with you.) It’s going to be fun sharing my thoughts with you, outside the context of a book.
I am freshly Legal, barely a month old. I bet I still smell like a new, just signed document. I’m the kind of person who would throw order into chaos and might enjoy the confusion in a totally innocent way. I thrive on new stuff and love to learn about new things. That’s been a theme through out my life. I like to read and occasionally pen a poem or a short story depending on how lazy I’m feeling. Although I haven’t really tried to ice skate I enjoy watching competitive figure skating. I’m addicted to chocolate and am a major foodie. I, as they say, live to eat and not eat to live. But in my defence, what is the point to eating something just for the sake of it instead of enjoying every flavour as it explodes on your tongue??
So, that’s it. Maybe next time I’ll come back with something more fulfilling than my life story. Stay tuned if you don’t already think I’m annoying!
